Full MetalA: Harold, it sounds so simple, but unfortunately it`s not. If you “click to accept”,” you get a binding contract, although most people never bother to read its long provisions. Uber, Lyft and other providers have inserted “Risk-taking” agreements and “release and waiver” clauses into their “Click to Accept” agreements to deprive customers of their usual legal rights and allow these large companies to effectively escape responsibility for their dangerous products. In recent cases of faulty brakes, I wouldn`t be at all surprised if Lyft and Uber claimed the cancellation of liability by invoking these clauses. Modification of the initial agreement with regard to fines: Bolt Mobility reserves the right to sanction drivers up to US$100 for illegally parked equipment, seized costs, equipment that is driven beyond the city`s borders, devices that block disabled places and/or damage caused by vandalism. Drivers are charged up to US$200 for repeated violations. Thin areas are marked “red” on the Bolt app map. You can borrow a JUMP bike by downloading the Uber app. Each bike contains a QR code that you can scan via the app to borrow that bike. As part of the booking process, you will receive in-app instructions for the safe use and parking of the bike.
The “Services” provided by Bolt consist of several elements, including (1) the automated self-service system of electric scooters (“scooters” or “scooters”), (2) discretionary charging of the scooter by the driver via the Bolt charger option and (3) all other devices, employees, services and information provided or provided by Bolt. The Services are provided by Bolt only within the city where you rent the scooter (“Location City”). You agree and acknowledge that you are renting the scooter and that ownership of the scooter remains with Bolt at all times. With the exception of the conditions below for Multi-Rental Rides, you agree and acknowledge that Rider is the sole renter and is solely responsible for compliance with all the conditions contained therein. You understand that if you rent a scooter, that scooter can only be used by you and you cannot allow other users to use a scooter that you have rented. A valid credit or debit card as well as a valid phone number and a phone that can receive SMS are required to rent a scooter. Scooters can only be rented and used by people who are at least 18 years old and are subject to the laws of Location City. If you misrepresent your age or present it incorrectly, you and your legal guardian are solely responsible for all claims (as defined below) related to such misrepresentation. To rent a scooter, you must have a valid driver`s license.
